Guess whos 20 months!

As of yesterday, my little baby is already 20 months. Rylann Joe is the funniest little boy. He is sooo full of personality! There has never been a dull moment! He is the most dramatic thing too, which he totally gets from his daddy! For example, yesterday we had a girls night with my mom and 2 sisters, we went to dinner, I ordered him a burrito, the food came, I cut it for him and at best it was warm when it got put on his plate. He shoves the first bite in his mouth and you would have thought it was hot as fire by his face. He shrieked HOTTTT and spit it out. We had to blow on it until it became ice cold for him to eat it! He is such a hoot!

At 20 months Rylann
is a very picky eater, but what he loves he eats TONNNNNS of!
his favorite person is my grandpa, or as he says PAAAA, and his Gripey.
his favorite thing to play with is his toy kitchen, he will "cook" for hours.
has a bit of a biting problem. He has biten a couple kids in his class.
loves school, when you drop him off he will march right in and say BYE.
loves to read, we will read 15 books on average EVERY NIGHT.
such a helper with his little brother.
Loves chocolate, he definately has a sugar tooth!
sits at the table like a big boy
no where close to potty training
can say about 30 words "WHEN" he wants, he is very stubborn and will only preform when he wants.
he knows who and how to say all of his family members names.
loves to give kisses and love on his family.

I love my little Rylann Joe more than words can say. They say theres such a special bond between a mother and her son, Rylann is definately my best friend :)

Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for! Last year, Thanksgiving Day we found out we were pregnant with Pierce. I am so blessed to have my two healthy and happy boys!

This year for Thanksgiving we went to my Grandmas for lunch. It was so good seeing everyone! Rylann always has so much fun with his older cousins! He loved the turkey and all the food!!! Then after lunch we drove to Laramies sisters house for the big Keith Thanksgiving! This year was insane! There were 9 adults, 8 kids, and 6 of those 8 were 2 years or younger! Like I said, it was insane. It was so good seeing everyone, all of Laramies family live out of town, so we dont get to see them as often as we like! It was so much fun talking to the girls, watching all of the brothers catch up outside (crazy guys it was freezing!!) and all the kids play and of course fight! The food and company was amazing! I am soo lucky to have such wonderful inlaws!!! Even though the cowboys lost this Thanksgivng was the best!!

I heard a new song on the radio today. Those lyrics pretty much sum up how I feel about my children! Being a mommy is the best job in the whole entire world!!! Children are the most challenging and yet rewarding things in the world! Rylann completely made my month tonight. We were cooking and playing in his room while Daddy and Pierce played. He looked right at me and said i love you too! I have been really worried about his talking lately. Last week, we had a biting problem at school, and his teacher told me she thinks he bites because hes frustated because he doesnt talk in school. So I have really really worked with him over the past week in talking, and telling us what he wants. Its been a very frustrating struggle for both me and him. But his sentence tonight has completely made feel better!!! I now think he is just a stubborn little boy!!!

Today

"Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, frustration, anger, and disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you.
**The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day..."**

So I pretty much had a crappy day! Monday was typical work day. The mornings are ALWAYS so hard! I am having such a hard time dealing with the lack of sleep I get! Pierce decided he needed some mommy time 4 times last night! I am right on the border of should I let him cry it out, or should I go comfort him?!! I do believe in letting the baby self soothe, but on the other hand I work 35-40 hours a week, and the night time I do get he has to a. share with his daddy and his big brother (who are both very needy boys) and b. share with the housework. I just feel guility. He is my baby and possibly my last baby (but only if I dont get my way, and honestly when does that ever happen! :)) So I have been getting up with him. Well he does his best sleep right before my alarm clock goes off, so i struggle to peel myself from bed to get ready and to pack up half my house so we all have what we need throughout the workday!!

Well the bad part of the day started when I was pumping at work. I am pumping, and all of a sudden I notice that something very warm is running down my leg, I look down and notice that my milk is leaking from the bottle and not only is my scrub bottoms pretty much soaked, they are soaked from breast milk! Breast milk that my baby is needing! He is going through a growth spurt and is a very hungry boy lately! Well anyways my only thought is the one who made up that stupid quote "no use
in crying over spilled milk" well they obviously never breastfed!

Nothing really went right since then! I took the kids to the grocery store to pick up a couple things, I thought we would be in and out and no big deal. Well what was I thinking! What in the world would taking 2 under 2 (not to mention 2 hungry under 2!) into the grocery store be quick and easy!! I will learn one day just to send Daddy!

I want to at least put one picture in every post!

My Hero!

Photobucket

Hero- a : a mythological or legendary figure often of divine descent endowed with great strength or ability, a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities, one who shows great courage, the principal male character in a literary or dramatic work, an object of extreme admiration and devotion : idol

Hands down my Dad is my hero. I am so thankful to have him so involved in my familys life! He is my husbands best friend, my kids favorite person, and my hero. I have never met anybody who doesnt love my dad after meeting him. I am pretty sure my dad could fix any problem, whether it be mechanical or emotional! Not sure if I tell him how much I appreciate everything he does for us, but I LOVE YOU DAD!!!

New at this!

I have read a few friends blogs and they seem really fun! So here we go!!

November 20, the day my sweet little Pierce turns 4 months young! At four months Pierce is:
taking 2 naps a day
still getting up 1-2 times a night
eating and loving banannas, carrots, and green beans
eating and hating sweet peas and sweet potatoes
knows and responds to his name
loves dogs and laughs when they get excited and run around
loves to jump
rolls over tummy to back and back to tummy
very very close to sitting up by himself

I really can not believe how fast the past four months have blown by!! Two under two is the most challenging yet amazing thing I have ever expierenced! When I had Rylann everything was so new and scary, and I dont know if Pierce is just an easier baby or if its because we were JUST doing this stuff 15 months ago!! Having two little babies is so hard, we never have enough time in the day to do anything!! It feels like between me and the hubs we are constantly changing diapers, hopefully their decisions in wanting to eat, be changed or played with at the exact same time means they will be super super close.

Today I had the brillant idea to take both the boys to the Tech game! My parents had extra tickets and a parking pass (which was actually the deal maker!) It turned out to be pretty fun! My parents ended up taking Pierce to their seats, so it was just me and Rybo! I was a little nervous about taking a 20 month old wild child that had not taken a nap to a football game, but he had a ball! He loved watching the band and the cheerleaders, and the game and surprisingly the people (who obviously had grandchildren) we sat by thought he was a hoot! He has perfected his guns up, which makes his momma verrrry happy!! We made it to almost half time and had to leave!

We also went to the polar express this weekend! It was really cute!. My boys really dont have a clue who santa is Last year Rylann did not like him. This year he gave him a high five, so we are headed in the right direction :) It was really fun to dress them up in matching pajamas and drink hot chocolate and see how much our niece and nephews got into it.
